OKTOBERFEST AT GAVE: "WIESN"
Since 2019, at Gave, which has become the most special brand of Cyprus Developments' touches and commitment to cultural values, many different events that carry the unifying feature of culture are organized.
From 2020 to the present pandemic period, Gave has become a cultural venue where German-speaking guests continuously visit in social life. In this sense, Gave hosted the island's closest event to the original by hosting the traditional Oktoberfest, which holds an important place in German culture and is only celebrated in Munich, this year under the sponsorship of Cyprus Developments.
In Gave's intimate and embracing square, the value of intercultural interaction has multiplied by having fun together and sharing over two days.
CULTURAL DETAILS: SPAß
After a month-long preparation period and dedicated and detailed work, the square of Gave was covered in the color of authentic tents found in Munich before Oktoberfest, creating a feeling close to the original Oktoberfest. The Gave team added color to the event with the Dirndl and Lederhosen costumes specific to Oktoberfest, symbols of Bavarian culture. Unforgettable moments accumulated under this tent for two days.
The exhibition area, which contains information about the history of Oktoberfest and exhibits clothing, food, and drinks specific to the festival culture, especially beer, was well received by visitors.
During the two-day festival, specially prepared German beer for the event was enjoyed in Oktoberfest beer glasses called Die Maß, while pretzels and sausages produced by Gave enriched the participants' taste culture.
Throughout the event, That Shop, the niche and boutique brand of Cyprus Developments, attracted attention with its special concept for Oktoberfest. Original gingerbread cookies with different names on them, neck clips specially written with names, and one-liter Oktoberfest beer glasses were offered for sale.
A special area prepared for children to accumulate fun moments featured games played to music and was in the foreground throughout the event.
On the second day, taking into account cultural values, the product stands of local producers, who have been together at Bazaar events at Gave since the first day, also took their place at Oktoberfest.
MUSIC: SPECIAL TO OKTOBERFEST
The Begvagabunden music group, specially coming from Munich, provided fun and unforgettable moments for all visitors on the first day, while on the second day, DJ Gage ensured uninterrupted dancing and entertainment.
